  • This is the traditional way that Ashtanga yoga is taught. The aim of this class is to teach the foundations of yoga from first principles through 1:1 guidance.

Students practice in a group at their own pace with individualized instruction. This class is suitable for all levels, from students with existing practices to those who have never practiced yoga. If you are new, we will teach you the primary series of Ashtanga incrementally. During your first ever Mysore practice, you will be taught part of the sequence and your practice will likely take about 30 minutes. In each subsequent practice, more poses will be added.

The purpose of learning this way is both to sustainably and safely learn the logic of yoga and to cultivate a deep internal focus while practicing.

Drop-in hours. New students should initially come at 6:30am while starting to learn the sequence for instruction. Once you start to practice on your own, you can come anytime during the class window (giving yourself enough time to finish your practice before 8:30am).
